Focus On Results' Winter Institute 2010 in Pasadena
focused on practical strategies and tools for school and district leaders to improve results and turn around achievement in all schools Pre-K to Grade 12.
Institute participants:
- Shared practices, concrete tools and strategies used by schools and districts who have focused their work and are seeing measurable gains in student learning;
- Examined LEADERSHIP qualities that help schools and district get RESULTS; and
- Met with district team members in order to take key institute learnings and apply them to their own local settings.
School Site Visits: Day 1
Teams had the opportunity to visit Mann Elementary School, Toll Middle School or Glendale High School to look for evidence of the Seven Areas of Focus and how that work guides their improvement effort.
