Michelle Nieto
A Senior Consultant with Focus on Results, Michelle Nieto has been an
educator in the San Diego Unified School District for the past 15 years
and currently serves as a Literacy Program Manager, where her primary
responsibility is improving teaching and learning in the classroom.
Ms. Nieto provides professional development for principals and
staff developers, develops standards-based curriculum at the district
and school levels, and supports coaches in their coaching and analysis
of their instruction.
She has also served as a vice principal, elementary classroom
teacher, and as a literacy coach/staff developer, and is part of the
Educational Leadership Academy at the University of San Diego.
Ms. Nieto attended the University of California-Los Angeles,
where she earned a B.A. in psychology and an M.Ed. in curriculum design
and instruction, with an emphasis in teacher training.
