Christine Anderson
A Senior Consultant with Focus On Results, Christine has been a school
administrator in California for twelve years. She is currently the
principal of Carl Harvey Elementary School in the Santa Ana Unified
School District
Ms. Anderson began her career in special education as a speech
and language specialist, then became a classroom teacher, a program
specialist, and special school administrator. As the current principal
of a K-5, urban school with 92 percent free and reduced lunches, and 87
percent English Language learners, she works with her faculty to focus
on improving student achievement.
Her areas of focus have been faculty staff development in
guided language acquisition and design, transitional bilingual program
acceleration, direct and explicit instruction in reading and
mathematics, extension of the school day and the establishment of an
Even Start family literacy/pre-school program.
As a result, her students have met and exceeded their Academic
Performance Index every year for five years. Her school received the
California Association of Bilingual Educators' 2002 Seal of Excellence,
and was recently designated a "10" in the California similar schools
ranking for the third year in a row.
Ms. Anderson is delighted to be a part of Focus on Results,
and to have the opportunity to work with teachers and administrators to
continue to improve student achievement.
