Trina Abbott

A Senior Consultant with Focus on Results, Trina has been working in education for over 30 years as a teacher and school reform consultant. She helped develop and support hundreds of teachers with the implementation of Expeditionary Learning, a national school improvement program, in districts across the country. More recently, she has worked with multiple school districts in Massachusetts to plan an expanded school day as part of the Massachusetts Expanded Learning Time Initiative.

Prior to her work as a consultant, she spent 13 years in the North Carolina wilderness, the Florida Everglades and Costa Rica, instructing Outward Bound courses for 15-70 year olds. She has a masters degree in marine biology, which she used as a shipboard scientist teaching oceanography to college students aboard a sailing schooner for Sea Education Association.
