Leadership Matters: Leading for Results Part I:
- Reflect on leadership behaviors and how they reach the hearts and minds of those they lead;
- Begin work on Leadership Matters: A Framework for Principals as Instructional Leaders;
- Learn to apply a belief in learning, the culture of teaching and learning, and the management of learning;
- Make connections with your own work to the two principals featured in the PBS Documentary, “The Principal Story”; and
- Create next step plans to strengthen and focus your instructional work.
Leadership Matters: Leading for Results Part II: Reconnecting to the Work and Moving Ahead
- Learn, understand, and apply a relationship with the broader community, integrity, fairness, and equity in learning, and the political, social, economic, legal and cultural context of learning;
- Deepen your understanding of the connections of all areas of the Framework for Principals as Instructional Leaders;
- Apply the big ideas from the six Leadership Priorities to your school's improvement work;
- Begin to think about how to allocate your time, resources, and leadership within the building to support your school's improvement work and your role as an Instructional Leader; and
- Use the information from the last two sessions to set goals and make next step plans to strengthen and focus your instructional and leadership work.
